The Certainty of Faith

My sweet Lord please, come be with me.
I have many thoughts I need you to see.
Many faith leaps are calling my name..
Some seem beyond what I can attain.

I need courage to jump;
To say yes to your calling
I need Your strength
to make Your will my longing.

Remind me of how you always provide.
That I've no need to fear when I'm at your side.
Help me remember things fall into place
By your tender mercy and exceeding grace.

It makes a difference when we move with ambition;
When we act in Your favor without hesitation.
I want to be so much bolder for You.
I don't want my earthly thoughts to subdue.

Where is the balance of faith and reason
as we confront the shifts of life's seasons?
Would you have us to act before You provide
So we'll learn how to use Your holy supplies?

As I wonder when faith must exceed my own logic
The certainty of faith says that hope is foreknowledge
I know You are good and You keep Your promises.
So I'll jump with Your lead, Lord, and trust that we'll triumph.
