Im Jacki, wife to Matt and Mama to two sweet little girls. I’m glad you are here. My hope and prayer is to be a source of encouragement in your journey with the Lord, the One thing worthy.
I am SUCH a “Martha type”. I love schedules, achievements, tidiness, calendars and all the orderly things. Can you relate? “Martha, Martha..” (Luke 10:38-42) Those things are not bad at all! Still, I find that it is all too easy to let those itineraries, expectations and perfectionism to send me spiraling into anxiety and that is not where God has led us to dwell. He has invited us into peace and rejoicing!
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.” Philippians 4:6-9
